Accountability for a sustainable supply chain
Starting in 2024, the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requires companies to report on the impact of their activities on people and the environment. Although this directive initially applies only to companies with over 250 employees, the message is clear and significant. We are gradually shifting from focusing solely on financial growth to assessing the impact on people and the environment.
This shift has significant implications for marketing and communication professionals. You can play a pivotal role in this transformation! Not only in external accountability but also in actively contributing to reducing the ecological footprint of your products and services. One of the five trends in our Digital Marketing Trend Report 2023 is therefore Accountability for a Sustainable Supply Chain. From Black Friday to Green Friday
Black Friday: the day when flashy discounts and cheap deals flood the market, driving impulse purchases and overconsumption. This behavior rapidly depletes our planet’s resources. We believe there’s a better, more sustainable way!
Green Friday at Beeckestijn
On Friday, November 24, it’s Green Friday at Beeckestijn too 🌳! Together with Trees for All and 100+ other companies, we are combating overconsumption and committing to a greener, healthier planet. We plant trees through sustainable forestry projects. Are you going green too?
Extra tree donations for Green Friday
Since 2019, we’ve been offsetting our CO2 emissions by planting trees through Trees for All. This year, we’ll donate an extra 🌳 for everyone who participates in a training or course during Green Friday week.
Just like in 2022, several Beeckestijn colleagues will roll up their sleeves on Green Friday to plant trees during the Green Forest event.
