Courses – differences & content
We offer different types of courses & training at different levels. All our courses have the same goal: to teach you all the ins & outs in the subject of your training in a relatively short period of time through an optimal mix of theory, strategy and practice. Depending on your background, experience & career wishes, a particular course or training will suit you.
Course advice
A specific prior education is not compulsory for most programs. We do, however, we expect the skills level of a bachelor’s degree holder to be able to successfully follow and complete a course. A bachelor or master diploma or relevant work experience is strongly recommended as a basis for successfully completing a post-master programme.
Of course, we are happy to help you. You can contact our programme advisors in several ways for non-binding advice.
Practical aspects about enrolling a course
The latest version of the timetable for a course can be found on the course page, under the Dates & locations tab. After registering for a study program, you have access to the current timetable via our online learning platform.
Yes, in some cases it is possible to enroll in a programme that has already started. This depends, among other things, on the number of sessions and the material that has already been discussed. You can contact our customer service department for more information: +31 (0) 88 – 1474 100.
Making an action plan helps you to apply all the new knowledge. For a post-bachelor, post-master or shortened course, the action plan is part of your final grade. Starting from a main topic or problem, you get to work with strategy, planning, implementation and financial substantiation. You usually make the plan for your organization, but it is also possible for a client. At the end of the course you discuss your plan during the final interview. During this conversation you will receive feedback and your grade from two teachers. This way you make an optimal translation of the sessions into practice. This form of action learning ensures that knowledge really sticks.
If you have previously successfully completed an individual assignment during a course at Beeckestijn Business School, you can in some cases get an exemption for this part. Please contact us to discuss the possibilities.
Yes, the fact that you currently don’t have a job shouldn’t be an obstacle in completing a course. We are happy to help you find a client to write the plan for. We regularly receive requests from our network to write a plan, within various fields. Not having an employer does not necessarily have to be a reason to refrain from following a course, it is even an excellent opportunity to expand your network and make new contacts.
In order to recieve a post-bachelor or post-master diploma, writing an action plan as well as participating in the (Harvard Business) Case day is required. If you do not complete these assignments, you will receive a certificate instead of a diploma.
Depending on the course you are following, you may be able to catch up on a missed session at a different location. This depends on the final schedule of the study program you are following. Beeckestijn Business School cannot guarantee that you can make up for a missed lecture.
In the post-bachelor and post-master courses, the final mark consists of your mark for the action plan and your mark for the (Harvard) Case Day. Your action plan counts for 75% of your final grade.
If your action plan grade is lower than 7, you will be given the opportunity to improve your plan. Points for improvement are discussed during the final interview. You’ll process the points of improvement in the plan within a week (5 workdays) and submit it again to the teacher. If the plan has improved sufficiently, the new grade will be communicated by email within 3 working days.
